Junundu help?
I swear I am not completely mentally deficient, but I'm beginning to feel that way. Any time I have to do some *something* that involves the game replacing my skill bar with something else, I have one hell of a time surviving.
Today's VQ is Sulfurous Wastes. I really need to get this area (and others up there) VQ'd, but the entire Junundu wurm thing just seems beyond my ken. I have the elite siege skill, so my bar is full... but it seems as if, no matter what I do, my heroes and I end up dead more often than not. Most of the time I can't even get the elite off, because it gets interrupted... and it seems as though the one which exploits a nearby corpse to give you the poision, etc. won't ever fire no matter how many dead enemies are right beside me. Any thoughts about what I can do to improve my skill in being a Junundu? Are there common errors I'm probably making that are avoidable? Are there ways in which I should be micromanaging my heroes to make things go more smoothly for us? Any help is appreciated... |

Start by reading Savio's The Wurm Guide.
As for the whole skill bar replacement thing, it's mostly the so called "gamer's intuition". Don't worry, you'll acquire more of it. In the mean time, just learn every bar through before jumping into the thick of things. In the Junundu, I'd say that aggro and techniques in leading h/h are much more important. You can get vqs done by autoattacking. |

Of coruse you're going to die in the wurms they have crap for armor.
Just bring a build that can kill a few groups on 60% Dp and go afk while in wurm. |

Don't feel bad.. I rolled a ranger.. not a worm/thack/pokemon whatever. I just cannot stand the replace skill things. I bought the bonus pack and tried one mission.. never again. I'm at 98% Elona Cartographer and will never max it because I refuse to do Sahlahjah challenge. Content that does not allow me to play my char is, at best, do once.

@Haggis of Doom -
I wanted to come back and say thank you, again... I took the advice in the guide you linked me to, and it has made all the difference. I'm in the midst of VQ'ing the Sulfurous Wastes right now and, in truth, I find I'm a little disappointed when I have to get OUT of the wurms now. LOL They're quite effective when used as per those instructions. I'm using a fortitude spear and shield... the extra health isn't much when compared to the 3,000 a wurm gets, but the 55 ranged damage of the spear is VERY nice! So THANK YOU once again! Huge help!! |
